The new school year will here in a matter of weeks and with that comes back to school shopping.
Unfortunately, this year it'll cost you more.
According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, families with students in elementary through high school plan to spend nearly $700 for supplies. Nationwide families will spend $29.5 billion, that's an eight percent increase from last year.
The overwhelming majority of people will spend money on clothes, shoes and supplies, like backpacks and notebooks.
