Best Buy is closing two of its Baltimore-area locations at the end of October.

The electronics corporation chose not to renew the leases of its Golden Ring store in Rosedale, located at 8645 Pulaski Highway, and also its Security Boulevard store in Baltimore, located at 1701 Belmont Ave.

"Any retailer our size will review its retail portfolio as leases end, deciding that some stores no longer make sense to keep open for a range of reasons," Best Buy Spokesman Ryan Stanzel told ABC2 via email. "This decision was made as a normal course of everyday business."

The stores employ approximately 120 people between them.

According to Stanzel, the employees are encourage to apply at Best Buy's other eight Baltimore locations.
