Trang Do

Trang joined the ABC2News team in March of 2014, helping to launch the station’s exclusive, in-depth and investigative program, In Focus.

She cultivated her love of news at a very young age, watching the local news in her hometown of Philadelphia, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and newsmagazine 20/20 on Friday nights.

Trang attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Spanish. Her senior year, she completed an internship at CBS3 KYW-TV in Philadelphia.

She then went on to the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. It was at Medill where Trang learned to shoot, edit, report, produce and anchor, while working on a weekly newsmagazine that aired on WYCC PBS Chicago. As a graduate student at Medill, Trang also worked as a political correspondent on Capitol Hill for KTVQ in Billings, MT.

Trang landed her first reporting job at WAFF in Huntsville, Al. She worked her way up from a bureau reporter to the metro and eventually became the weekend morning anchor.

Trang then headed back to her home state of Pennsylvania to be a reporter/multi-media journalist and fill-in anchor for WPMT FOX43 in the Harrisburg/York/Lancaster television market.

She is thrilled to be living and working in Baltimore and is grateful for the opportunity to tell more in-depth, long-form stories through “In Focus.”

Trang is an avid reader, an art lover and a history buff. She also enjoys the challenge of practicing yoga and the agony of being a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
