Delia Gonçalves joined the ABC 2 News team as a general assignment reporter in August 2005. A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Delia comes to Baltimore via Providence, RI where she served as reporter at WPRI for 2 ½ years. While at WPRI, Delia covered many memorable news stories that made national headlines, including the tragic West Warwick Station Nightclub Fire that claimed 100 lives, the historic vote on Gay Marriage at the Massachusetts State House, and the 2004 blizzard that buried many parts of the Baystate under nearly 15 feet of snow.

A native of New Bedford, MA, Delia is no stranger to the Mid-Atlantic region, having lived in Prince George's County nearly 6 years ago. She quickly fell in love with the area while working in the Senate Radio Television Gallery on Capitol Hill and the NBC Network News Bureau in Washington, DC, but was called back to New England to begin her on-camera career. Her journey has brought her full circle, from Comcast Cable News in Fall River, MA to WGGB in Springfield, MA and WPRI, and she's delighted to finally be back in the area at ABC 2 News. Delia feels connecting with people on a personal and professional level is the best part of her job and looks forward to forging a bond with the Baltimore community.

In her spare time, Delia enjoys music, poetry, attending live performances, spending time with friends and family, and cooking her traditional Cape Verdean dishes.
